Raydium weekly slide reaches 12% while pool buys outnumber sells

Raydium ($RAY) traded at $1.62 at 12:40 p.m. ET on Nov. 1, about 12% lower than a week ago, while buy trades in its two largest pools ran more than double the sells.

A dark Raydium coin with its blue-to-purple hexagon mark stands on a glowing plinth between a chrome bull and a chrome bear in a glass city.

The Raydium weekly slide reached about 12% on Sunday, Nov. 1. Raydium ($RAY) traded at $1.62 at 12:40 p.m. ET, while buy trades in its two largest pools ran more than double the sells.

The quick take

  • Price: $1.62, -1.3% ↓ in 24 hours and -12% ↓ over 7 days (CoinGecko, 17:40 UTC).
  • Trigger: No announced cause; Solana ($SOL) lost 6.7% over the same week.
  • Watch: Whether the buy-heavy trading in Raydium’s pools lifts the price, and whether pool deposits keep shrinking.

What happened

CoinGecko priced $RAY, the token of the Solana trading platform Raydium, at $1.62 as of 12:40 p.m. ET. Jupiter’s price feed showed $1.624, within 0.3% of that figure.

Trackers give slightly different weekly losses: CoinGecko shows 12%, while CoinPaprika shows 11%. Over the past 24 hours, $RAY slipped 1.3% and moved in a narrow band between $1.60 and $1.66.

CoinGecko puts the token’s market value near $438 million, with $11.6 million traded in 24 hours. $RAY sits about 90% below its record high of $16.83 from September 2021.

Why it moved

Raydium has not announced news that explains the drop, so the cause is not confirmed. The slide came during a soft week across the network. Solana ($SOL) fell 6.7% over seven days to $94.72, per CoinGecko.

Money held in Raydium’s pools also shrank. DefiLlama data show the total value locked in Raydium’s AMM fell from $1.16 billion on Oct. 25 to $1.07 billion on Nov. 1, a drop of about 8%. Part of that drop reflects lower token prices, not only withdrawals.

Who’s buying and selling

On-chain trade counts lean the other way. In the main RAY/SOL pool on Raydium, DexScreener counted 6,380 buys and 2,969 sells over 24 hours. That pool held about $2.0 million in liquidity.

GeckoTerminal showed a similar tilt in the RAY/USDC pool: 1,015 buys against 427 sells, with $6.2 million in liquidity. Trade counts do not show trade size, though. Many small buys can sit beside a few large sells, so these numbers alone do not say who is winning.

What to watch next

  • Whether $RAY holds above the 24-hour low of $1.60.
  • Whether DefiLlama shows Raydium deposits steadying after a week of declines.
  • Any update from the Raydium team on fees, buybacks or new products.

Bottom line: $RAY is down about 12% in a week with no announced cause, even as buy trades outnumber sells in its main pools.
