The quick take

  • Price: $ONDO $0.365, -2.3% in 24 hours (CoinGecko, as of 12:40 p.m. ET, Nov. 7)
  • Trigger: A slow slide with no sharp break: on Binance, no single hour fell more than 1% since Friday.
  • Watch: Whether $ONDO holds above its 24-hour low of $0.362.

What happened

The Ondo Finance weekly slide reached 12% on Saturday. Ondo Finance ($ONDO) traded at $0.365 at 12:40 p.m. ET, down 12.1% over seven days and 2.3% in 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.

Two other data sites show a similar week. CoinPaprika and LiveCoinWatch both put the seven-day loss at 11.3%.

Over the past 24 hours, the token moved between $0.362 and $0.376 on CoinGecko. Over 30 days it is down about 18% on both CoinGecko and LiveCoinWatch.

That leaves $ONDO roughly 83% below its record high of $2.14, set on Dec. 15, 2024, per CoinGecko. Its market value stands at $1.78 billion.

Why it moved

The drop came in small steps rather than one sharp fall. On Binance’s ONDO/USDT pair, hourly closing prices eased from about $0.378 around noon ET Friday to $0.363 around noon ET Saturday.

The wider market stayed calm over the same day. Bitcoin ($BTC) rose 0.2% and Ethereum ($ETH) rose 0.6% in 24 hours, per LiveCoinWatch.

Ondo Finance’s blog shows no new post since Nov. 4, and no major crypto news outlet has linked the slide to a specific event. The cause of the weekly drop is not confirmed.

Who’s buying and selling

Trading continued through the decline. CoinGecko counts $57.5 million in 24-hour volume across markets, about 3% of the token’s market value.

LiveCoinWatch reports a lower figure of $38.1 million for the same window. The two readings cover the same 24 hours but land far apart.

What to watch next

The first level to watch is the 24-hour low of $0.362. Next comes any new update on the Ondo Finance blog, which last posted on Nov. 4.

The 30-day loss of about 18% shows the slide began before this week.

Bottom line: $ONDO has lost 12% in a week through a slow, steady decline, with no confirmed trigger.
