A Backpack Exchange Friday rally lifts its token 5.1% in 24 hours. Backpack Exchange ($BP) trades at $0.983 as of 12:39 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 6, according to CoinGecko. The price sits near the top of its daily range.

The quick take

  • Price: $0.983, +5.1% ↑ in 24 hours (CoinGecko).
  • Trigger: No new Backpack announcement since Nov. 3; sells led buys in the main pool, 1,527 to 879 (DexScreener).
  • Watch: The 24-hour high of $0.997 and the record high of $1.65 from Oct. 1.

What happened

CoinGecko shows $BP trading between $0.918 and $0.997 over the past day. At $0.983, the token sits about 1.4% below that high. Jupiter’s price feed gave $0.984, a gap of 0.11%.

The token’s market value stands at about $245.8 million, with $4.3 million in trading volume over 24 hours, per CoinGecko. Weekly readings differ by source: CoinGecko puts the 7-day gain at 5.6%, CoinPaprika at 6.9%.

Why it moved

The cause of the rise is not confirmed. Backpack’s own blog lists no new announcement since Nov. 3, when it added a tokenized S&P 500 fund on Solana ($SOL).

The wider market was mostly flat. LiveCoinWatch shows Bitcoin ($BTC) at $75,613, down 0.4% over 24 hours, and Ether ($ETH) down 1.3%. CoinGecko shows $SOL up 0.4% at $89.78.

Who’s buying and selling

Sellers made more trades than buyers in the token’s largest pool, BP/USDC on Meteora. DexScreener counts 1,527 sells and 879 buys over 24 hours. GeckoTerminal reads 1,524 sells and 894 buys.

A rising price with more sell trades can mean many small sales met by fewer, larger buys. Trade counts do not show trade size, so the split is a clue, not proof.

That pool holds about $6.1 million in liquidity and saw $1.2 million in volume over 24 hours, per DexScreener. DefiLlama values the assets it tracks on Backpack Exchange at $524.0 million, up 0.9% in a day.

What to watch next

The first level is the 24-hour high of $0.997, just under the $1 mark. The next is the record high of $1.65, set on Oct. 1, per CoinGecko. The token trades about 40% below it.

Also watch whether sells keep leading buys in the main pool.

Bottom line: Backpack Exchange’s token gains 5.1% on a flat market day, though sellers stay busy and no news explains the move yet.
