Pump.fun ($PUMP) traded at $0.004538 at 7:40 p.m. ET on Oct. 22, down 11% in 24 hours and close to its daily low.

A large silver coin with a green and white pill emblem sinks into calm water in a futuristic glass city, with smaller pill coins floating nearby.

The quick take

  • Price: $0.004538, down 11% in 24 hours and 0.6% over seven days, per CoinGecko.
  • Trigger: A broad market dip, with most Solana DeFi tokens and $BTC lower on the day.
  • Watch: Whether $PUMP holds its 24-hour low of $0.004526.

What happened

The Pump.fun token sinks 11% in 24 hours. Pump.fun ($PUMP) traded at $0.004538 at 7:40 p.m. ET on Oct. 22, according to CoinGecko. Jupiter’s price of $0.004545 matched it within 0.2%.

That leaves $PUMP near the bottom of its 24-hour range of $0.004526 to $0.005204. Over seven days the token is down just 0.6%, so one day of selling wiped out a week of gains.

Its market value stands at about $2.1 billion, with $190.7 million traded in 24 hours, per CoinGecko.

Why it moved

The drop came on a red day for the whole market. Bitcoin ($BTC) fell 3.6% and Ethereum ($ETH) 3.9% in 24 hours, per LiveCoinWatch. Several Solana DeFi tokens fell harder: Backpack Exchange ($BP) lost 11% and Kamino Finance ($KMNO) 9.6%, while Solana ($SOL) slipped 3.4%, per CoinGecko.

Binance’s PUMP/USDT pair shows a steady slide, not one sharp drop. The pair stood at $0.005135 at 7 p.m. ET on Oct. 21 and reached $0.004562 by 1 p.m. ET on Oct. 22. A small bounce to $0.004642 by 4 p.m. ET faded by evening.

The same day, SolanaFloor reported that Pump.fun made its own Pump Bridge the default route for cross-chain trades in its app, replacing the Relay service. Pump.fun’s own tests showed buy errors falling to 0.9% from 11.2%, the outlet said. No source links the launch to the price drop.

Who’s buying and selling

Trading in the token’s largest pool stayed balanced. The PumpSwap PUMP/USDC pool logged 14,501 buys and 14,396 sells over 24 hours, with $23.8 million in liquidity, per DexScreener. GeckoTerminal showed almost the same split: 14,464 buys and 14,363 sells.

The platform behind the token still earns steady fees. DefiLlama puts Pump.fun’s revenue at $1.49 million over 24 hours and $10.4 million over seven days. Deposits in PumpSwap slipped 3.8% in a day to $347.6 million.

What to watch next

The first test is the daily low of $0.004526, which the price sat just above in the evening. A second is whether Solana DeFi tokens steady when $BTC does. The token still trades 48% below its record high of $0.008819 from Sept. 14, 2025, per CoinGecko.

Bottom line: $PUMP fell with the market on Thursday, while buyers and sellers in its main pool stayed evenly matched.
