Jupiter Exchange token adds 5.9% in an all-day Wednesday climb
Jupiter Exchange’s $JUP traded at $0.336 at 3:40 p.m. ET on Wednesday, up 5.9% in 24 hours and close to the top of its daily range.
The quick take
- Price: $0.336, +5.9% in 24 hours (CoinGecko, 3:40 p.m. ET).
- Trigger: a slow, steady climb from an overnight low near $0.312, on a green day for crypto.
- Watch: whether $JUP can hold near its 24-hour high of $0.342.
The Jupiter Exchange token adds 5.9% over the past 24 hours. Jupiter Exchange ($JUP) traded at $0.336 at 3:40 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 21, according to CoinGecko.
What happened
Jupiter’s own price feed showed $0.335 at the same time, a gap of just 0.15%. CoinGecko puts the 24-hour range between $0.312 and $0.342. That leaves $JUP trading close to the top of its daily range.
The climb was gradual rather than sudden. On Binance’s JUP/USDT pair, hourly closes bottomed near $0.313 at 1 a.m. ET. They rose in most hours after that, reaching $0.336 by mid-afternoon.
The move adds to a longer run. CoinGecko data show $JUP up 13.1% over the past 30 days.
Why it moved
The gain came on a broadly green day. Solana ($SOL) rose 2.4% in 24 hours on CoinGecko. LiveCoinWatch showed $BTC up 2.6% and $ETH up 2.8% over the same window.
$JUP more than doubled the $SOL gain. The price data do not point to one trigger, and no single cause is confirmed.
Who’s buying and selling
Trade counts on the main pools tell a mixed story. In the top $JUP/$SOL pool on Orca, DexScreener counted 6,134 buys and 7,892 sells over 24 hours. The top pool on GeckoTerminal, on Meteora, showed 1,323 buys and 1,523 sells.
These figures count trades, not their size. So fewer but larger purchases can still push the price higher. CoinGecko lists 24-hour trading volume of $77.6 million and a market value of $1.1 billion.
What to watch next
The 24-hour high of $0.342 is the first level in view. A clean move above it would extend the day’s climb, while a slip back toward $0.312 would erase it.
Jupiter’s wider business offers context. DefiLlama shows $759 million in Jupiter Perpetual Exchange and $1.05 billion in Jupiter Lend. Readers can also watch whether the broader market’s gains hold into Thursday.
Bottom line: $JUP climbed through the whole day and outpaced $SOL, even as sell trades still outnumber buys in its main pools.
