Solana tokenized funds gain 2 J.P. Morgan money market funds
J.P. Morgan Asset Management opened 2 tokenized money market funds, MONY and JLTXX, to qualified U.S. investors on Solana at noon ET on Oct. 22.
The list of Solana tokenized funds grew by two well-known names this week. J.P. Morgan Asset Management said its My OnChain Net Yield Fund (MONY) and its OnChain Liquidity–Token Money Market Fund (JLTXX) now run on Solana ($SOL) for qualified U.S. investors. The firm announced the move at noon ET on Oct. 22.
The quick take
- Price: $SOL trades at $104.51 on Binance’s SOL/USDT pair as of 8:43 a.m. ET, little changed over 24 hours.
- Trigger: J.P. Morgan Asset Management opened 2 tokenized money market funds to qualified U.S. investors on Solana.
- Watch: Whether the handful of approved wallets holding the new Solana tokens starts to grow.
What happened
Investors buy and redeem both funds through Morgan Money, the firm’s cash management platform. They then receive token balances at their own blockchain addresses.
MONY is a private placement fund that pays U.S. dollar yields to qualified investors. It first launched in December 2025. JLTXX is a registered government money market fund built to serve stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act.
“Our clients operate across more than one network, and their liquidity should too,” said Paul Przybylski, the firm’s global head of product for digital and tokenized assets.
Who’s buying and selling
Early use is small in count. Jupiter’s token directory lists about 450 million JLTXX tokens on Solana, held by four addresses. It shows six MONY tokens held by two addresses, and both tokens were created on Sept. 28.
Neither the release nor the fund filing says how many dollars the funds hold on Solana. Only wallets the fund approves can buy, redeem or move the tokens, according to an SEC filing.
What to watch next
A JLTXX prospectus supplement dated Oct. 1 already listed Solana. It names Ethereum ($ETH) and Solana as the only networks investors can use for now, and it says more chains are expected.
For scale, apps on Solana held $5.9 billion in total value locked at 12:42 UTC, per DefiLlama. Watch whether more approved wallets show up on the two token pages.
Bottom line: J.P. Morgan’s two tokenized cash funds now run on Solana, but on-chain use so far is limited to a few approved wallets.
