Ondo Finance USDY pricing goes real time for a $2.3 billion token

Ondo Finance said on Nov. 3 that USDY, a yield token it says holds over $2.3 billion, now updates its price in real time instead of once a day.

The quick take

  • Price: Ondo Finance ($ONDO) traded at $0.394 as of 4:41 p.m. ET, +1.7% ↑ in 24 hours.
  • Trigger: Ondo says the price of USDY, its Treasury-backed yield token, now updates in real time instead of once a day.
  • Watch: Apps that read USDY’s price move to a new oracle; the old one stays live through the end of 2026.

What happened

Ondo Finance USDY pricing now runs in real time. In a Nov. 3 blog post, the company said the yield token no longer waits for a single daily price update. Ondo says USDY is the biggest tokenized Treasury product, holding over $2.3 billion as of October.

USDY’s price is now worked out each time a wallet or app reads it. That means the price already includes yield earned up to that second, on weekends and holidays too. Ondo’s own example: hold for eight hours, and you earn eight hours of yield.

Eligible holders outside the U.S. can mint and redeem USDY around the clock at the updated price, apart from scheduled maintenance, Ondo says. Short stays in the token keep their yield instead of losing it to slippage in swap pools.

The USDY product page lists Solana ($SOL) among 11 networks that carry the token. As of 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 2, the page showed $2.40 billion in total value and a 3.75% APY. It also says holders can pledge USDY as collateral when they borrow.

What to watch next

Ondo asks new integrations to use its USDY Oracle Wrapper. Lending protocols, exchanges and wallets that already read the price through the wrapper switch by themselves. Others need to point to the wrapper on each chain, with no code changes, the company says.

The old oracle keeps running until the close of 2026, which gives platforms time to move. Ondo adds that each rate change has an onchain limit, which keeps the new feed steady.

The project’s own token, $ONDO, was little changed on the news. It traded at $0.394, down 6.3% over seven days, per CoinGecko data checked against LiveCoinWatch.

Bottom line: USDY now earns by the second, and apps that read its price have until the end of 2026 to switch oracles.
