The quick take

  • Price: $JTO at $0.536, +5.3% in 24 hours and -1.4% over 7 days (CoinGecko, 23:40 UTC).
  • Trigger: No new Jito announcement; deposits in Jito’s staking pool rose to 11.11 million SOL, per DefiLlama.

The Jito token rebounds after a rough start to the week. Jito ($JTO) traded at $0.536 at 7:40 p.m. ET on Tuesday, up 5.3% in 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. Jupiter’s price feed showed $0.535, within 0.2% of that reading.

What happened

The token traded between $0.493 and $0.550 over the past day, CoinGecko data show. Its 24-hour trading volume reached $35.7 million, and its market value stood near $285 million.

On Binance’s JTO/USDT pair, the hourly close bottomed at $0.496 at 9 p.m. ET on Monday. It climbed to $0.545 by 3 a.m. ET, dipped to $0.517 at 8 a.m. ET, then peaked at $0.547 at 3 p.m. ET.

Why it moved

Jito posted nothing new on its blog during the day, so the cause of the move is not confirmed. The gain recovered part of Monday’s slide.

The rise came as Jito’s liquid staking pool grew. DefiLlama’s latest reading, at 22:20 UTC, shows 11.11 million SOL in the pool, worth about $1.19 billion. At 00:00 UTC the pool held 10.46 million SOL.

The wider market was calmer. Solana ($SOL) rose 1.3% to $106.78, per CoinGecko, while LiveCoinWatch showed Bitcoin ($BTC) up 1.5%.

Who’s buying and selling

Buyers held a slight lead in the token’s largest on-chain pool, the JTO/JitoSOL pair on Orca. DexScreener counted 890 buys and 841 sells over 24 hours, and GeckoTerminal showed the same totals.

That pool holds about $1.29 million in liquidity. It traded about $232,000 over the same 24 hours.

What to watch next

Over 30 days, $JTO is still up 29%, but it is down 1.4% for the week. Readers can watch whether the token stays above the day’s low of $0.493 as Asian trading opens.

The staking pool is the other signal. A second reading from DefiLlama or Jito will show whether the new deposits stay in place.

Bottom line: $JTO won back ground on Tuesday with steady buying and a larger staking pool behind it, though no single cause is confirmed.
