The quick take

  • Price: $PUMP traded at $0.004256 at 7:40 p.m. ET, down 6.3% in 24 hours, per CoinGecko.
  • Trigger: Most of the loss came after 2 p.m. ET on Friday, when the token left a tight range it had held since Thursday night.
  • Watch: Buys and sells in its main PumpSwap pool are almost even; a clear lead for buyers would be the first change.

What happened

The Pump.fun token falls for a second day in a row. Pump.fun ($PUMP) traded at $0.004256 at 7:40 p.m. ET on Friday, down 6.3% in 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. A day earlier, after an 11% drop, it stood at $0.004538.

The price now sits at the bottom of its daily range. CoinGecko lists a 24-hour high of $0.004682 and a low of $0.004264, and the token traded just under that low. Jupiter showed $0.004248, within 0.2% of CoinGecko.

The token has a market value of about $1.97 billion and ranks 50th on CoinGecko. Trading volume across markets reached $140.0 million in 24 hours.

Why it moved

The drop came late in the day. On Binance’s PUMP/USDT pair, hourly prices held between $0.00455 and $0.00467 from Thursday night until 2 p.m. ET Friday. The pair then slid to $0.00425 by 7:41 p.m. ET.

The wider market was calmer. Solana ($SOL) slipped 0.8% over the same 24 hours, per CoinGecko, and Bitcoin ($BTC) eased 0.3%, per LiveCoinWatch. So the token fell far harder than the largest coins.

Who’s buying and selling

Trading in the token’s main pool stayed close to even. The PumpSwap PUMP/USDC pool, which holds $23.1 million in liquidity, logged 12,569 buys and 12,650 sells in 24 hours, per DEX Screener. GeckoTerminal counted 12,407 buys and 12,471 sells in the same pool.

PumpSwap, Pump.fun’s own exchange, stayed busy. DefiLlama shows $259.0 million in 24-hour trading volume, second among Solana exchanges, and $345.0 million in deposits.

What to watch next

The token is now 52% below its record of $0.008819, set on Sept. 14, 2025, per CoinGecko. It is still up 6.2% over 30 days.

Platform revenue is the number to follow. Pump.fun earned $1.35 million in DefiLlama’s latest 24-hour reading and $10.3 million over seven days. In the pool, a steady lead for buy orders would be the first sign that selling is easing.

Bottom line: The Pump.fun token ended Friday at its daily low after a late slide, while trading in its main pool stayed nearly balanced.
