The quick take

  • Price: Solana ($SOL) trades at $105.91, up 1.2% in 24 hours, as of 1:40 p.m. ET.
  • Trigger: Solana Mobile named Ledger its first hardware expansion partner at Ledger’s Op3n event in Paris.
  • Watch: Ledger Atom’s price and ship date, which reports give differently.

What happened

The Solana Mobile Seeker app is heading to a phone-like device from another maker for the first time. Solana Mobile, the phone maker of the Solana ($SOL) ecosystem, named Ledger its first hardware expansion partner on Thursday, Oct. 15.

Ledger Atom, a new Android-based device from the wallet maker, will ship with the Seeker app on its home screen, Solana Mobile said. The app joins the Solana Mobile wallet and the Solana dApp Store, which lists more than 1,500 apps.

Signing runs in Atom’s Secure Mode, backed by Ledger’s EAL6+ secure element. Ledger says the screen and touch controls are walled off from Android, so users confirm the exact transaction they sign.

Solana Mobile says it has sold more than 200,000 devices across its Saga and Seeker phones. It also says Seeker has handled over $13 billion in transaction volume across 154 million transactions. These are the company’s own figures.

The deal extends a plan Solana Mobile began in March 2026, when it opened its software to other Android makers. Partners can earn $SKR, the ecosystem’s own token, for building it in. Seeker phone owners keep full support.

“Now we’re thrilled to take the Solana Mobile ecosystem further with Ledger,” Solana Labs co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko said, according to The Block.

What to watch next

Price and timing differ by report. The Block says a Founder’s Edition costs $849, held with a $100 refundable deposit, and $899 after launch. It expects deliveries in summer 2027, pending certification.

Solana Mobile’s release and Decrypt give no price or ship date. Reservations are open on Ledger’s website, the only place Atom will be sold.

The launch comes as Ledger looks into tampered wallets sold by a reseller in Southeast Asia. Ledger says Atom adds sensors that flag any attempt to open the case. Next steps to watch are certification and how many Seeker apps reach Atom at launch.

Bottom line: Solana Mobile’s apps now reach beyond its own phones, and Ledger Atom is the first test of that plan.
