Solana DeFi deposits slip to $5.7 billion as $SOL slides
Solana’s DeFi deposits stood at $5.7 billion at 7:41 p.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 26, down 14% in 30 days, according to DefiLlama.
Solana DeFi deposits stand at $5.7 billion, based on DefiLlama’s total value locked (TVL) reading for Solana ($SOL) at 7:41 p.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 26. The total is down 14% in 30 days. Most of that drop tracks the lower price of $SOL itself.
The quick take
- Price: $SOL traded at $100.80 at 7:41 p.m. ET, down 0.5% ↓ in 24 hours and 4.3% ↓ in seven days.
- Trigger: Solana’s TVL fell from $6.61 billion on Sept. 26 to $5.7 billion, a smaller fall than the token’s own 30-day slide.
- Watch: Whether the TVL keeps falling less than $SOL, and how stablecoin balances in lending apps hold up.
What happened
DefiLlama’s latest reading puts Solana’s TVL at $5.71 billion. That is 2.5% below the $5.85 billion it logged at the start of Oct. 19 (UTC). It is also 14% below the $6.61 billion of Sept. 26.
The longer view shows how far the total has come down. DefiLlama recorded $11.87 billion on Oct. 27, 2025, so today’s figure is less than half that level. It still sits 29% above the one-year low of $4.42 billion on June 11, 2026.
The largest apps moved the same way. These are DefiLlama’s latest readings for five of the biggest, taken between 5:02 and 6:40 p.m. ET on Monday:
| App | TVL | 7 days | 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kamino Lend | $1.26 billion | -3.4% ↓ | -14% ↓ |
| Jito Liquid Staking | $1.05 billion | -4.3% ↓ | -17% ↓ |
| Jupiter Lend | $1.00 billion | -1.5% ↓ | -15% ↓ |
| Jupiter Perpetual Exchange | $712 million | -3.4% ↓ | -14% ↓ |
| Jupiter Staked SOL | $524 million | -4.0% ↓ | -16% ↓ |
Why it moved
TVL is counted in dollars. When a token gets cheaper, the dollar value of every deposit in that token shrinks too, even if nobody withdraws. CoinGecko shows $SOL down 4.3% in seven days and 17% in 30 days as of Monday evening.
Those numbers fit the pattern. Solana’s TVL fell 2.5% in a week and 14% in a month, in both cases less than the token. Jito ($JTO) Liquid Staking, which holds staked $SOL, lost 17% in 30 days, almost exactly the token’s own move.
That points to lower prices, not a rush to the exit, as the main driver. These dollar totals alone cannot show how many tokens each app holds, so the exact split between price and withdrawals is unknown.
Lending apps held up a little better over the week. Jupiter Exchange ($JUP) saw Jupiter Lend slip 1.5% in seven days, while Kamino Finance ($KMNO) saw Kamino Lend drop 3.4%. Stablecoins keep their dollar value, and Jupiter’s own lending data showed about $472 million in USDC supplied to its Earn vaults at 7:47 p.m. ET.
The wider market was quiet. Bitcoin ($BTC) traded at $80,317 at 7:41 p.m. ET, up 0.1% ↑ in 24 hours, according to LiveCoinWatch.
Who’s buying and selling
On the busiest $SOL pool, the SOL/USDC pool on Orca DEX, sellers made more trades than buyers over 24 hours. DexScreener counted 46,040 sells against 37,383 buys. GeckoTerminal gave a matching second reading of 46,038 sells and 37,285 buys.
Overall trading stayed active. DefiLlama’s latest 24-hour reading shows $1.45 billion in volume across Solana’s decentralized exchanges.
What to watch next
- Whether Solana’s TVL keeps falling less than $SOL. If that gap closes, it would point to real withdrawals rather than price alone.
- Jito Liquid Staking and Jupiter Staked SOL, whose dollar totals move almost one-for-one with the token.
- Stablecoin balances in Jupiter Lend and Kamino Lend, which show whether lenders keep their cash in Solana DeFi.
Bottom line: Solana’s DeFi total fell 14% in a month, less than $SOL itself, which points to lower prices more than an exodus of users.
