The quick take

  • Price: $JUP trades at $0.279, down 2.0% in 24 hours (CoinGecko, 15:40 UTC).
  • Trigger: A week of steady selling took more than 10% off the token; no single cause is confirmed.
  • Watch: Whether the 24-hour low of $0.270 holds while sellers still outnumber buyers on-chain.

What happened

The Jupiter Exchange token steadies near $0.279 on Tuesday after a week of losses. Jupiter Exchange ($JUP) traded at $0.279 at 15:40 UTC, down 2.0% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. Jupiter’s own price feed showed the same level, within 0.1%.

Over the past day, the token moved in a narrow band between $0.270 and $0.282, per CoinGecko. That calm followed a sharper slide. CoinGecko’s market data put the 7-day loss at 10.8%, while its coin page showed 13.2% a few minutes later.

CoinPaprika listed an 11.1% weekly drop. The readings differ, but all three show a double-digit fall.

Why it moved

No Jupiter announcement explains the drop, so the cause is not confirmed. The slide came in a softer week for Solana tokens. Solana ($SOL) traded at $100.76, down 1.4% in 24 hours, per CoinGecko.

Bitcoin ($BTC) was near $80,367, down 0.8% over the same span, according to LiveCoinWatch. Jupiter’s products held steadier than its token. DefiLlama showed about $1.0 billion in Jupiter Lend and $712 million in Jupiter’s perpetual exchange at 15:41 UTC.

Who’s buying and selling

Sellers keep a small edge on-chain. In a main $JUP/$SOL pool on Orca, DexScreener counted 4,677 sells against 4,222 buys over 24 hours. GeckoTerminal’s top pool, on Meteora, showed a similar split: 1,480 sells and 1,266 buys.

Trading stays active. CoinGecko put 24-hour volume at $49.2 million, against a market value of about $927 million. The token still sits 86% below its record of $2.00 from January 31, 2024.

What to watch next

The first level is the 24-hour low of $0.270. A move above $0.282 would clear the day’s range. Watch also whether buy counts in the main pools catch up with sells.

Bottom line: $JUP is holding a tight range today, but the weekly slide has not reversed.
