Jupiter Exchange ($JUP) is beating the market on Monday. The Jupiter Exchange token climbs 5.0% in 24 hours to $0.349 as of 3:39 p.m. ET, according to CoinGecko. Solana ($SOL) slipped 1.1% over the same day.

The quick take

  • Price: $JUP at $0.349, +5.0% ↑ in 24 hours and +5.2% ↑ in seven days (CoinGecko, 19:39 UTC).
  • Trigger: Jupiter Lend’s total value locked rose 5.7% in a day to $1.39 billion (DefiLlama).
  • Watch: Jupiter Lend now sits about $10 million behind Kamino Lend in locked value.

What happened

$JUP spent most of the day between $0.33 and $0.34. On Binance’s JUP/USDT pair, hourly data show $0.334 for the 11 a.m. ET hour and $0.350 for the 3 p.m. ET hour. Most of the daily gain came in the afternoon.

CoinGecko puts the 24-hour range at $0.327 to $0.350. The token is up 59% over 30 days. It still trades 83% below its record of $2.00 from January 2024.

Why it moved

The cause of the move is not confirmed. The clearest link is Jupiter Lend, the project’s lending market. DefiLlama shows its total value locked up 5.7% in one day to $1.39 billion, and up 18% in a week.

That brings it close to Kamino Finance‘s lending market. Kamino Lend holds $1.40 billion, after a 3.5% drop over the week. The gap between the two is now about $10 million.

Who’s buying and selling

Trading was active but balanced. CoinGecko counts $91.9 million in 24-hour volume against a market value of $1.16 billion.

On decentralized exchanges the picture is mixed. The largest $JUP pool on DexScreener, a JUP/SOL pair on Orca, logged 9,508 buys and 9,743 sells. GeckoTerminal’s top pool, a JUP/SOL pair on Meteora, showed 2,747 buys against 2,270 sells.

What to watch next

Watch whether Jupiter Lend moves past Kamino Lend in DefiLlama’s lending data. Also watch whether the afternoon gain holds as U.S. trading winds down. Bitcoin ($BTC) rose only 0.2% in 24 hours, per LiveCoinWatch, so this move stands apart from the wider market.

Bottom line: $JUP’s 5.0% gain lines up with fresh money in Jupiter Lend, though no single cause is confirmed.
