The quick take

  • Price: $0.340, -6.0% ↓ in 24 hours and -20% ↓ in seven days (CoinGecko).
  • Trigger: No announced cause; the drop is far steeper than the 1.0% dip in $SOL.
  • Watch: The 24-hour low of $0.337, which the price now sits just above.

What happened

The Jito token weekly drop reached 20% on Tuesday. Jito ($JTO) traded at $0.340 at 10:40 a.m. ET, according to CoinGecko, down 6.0% in 24 hours. Jupiter’s price feed showed $0.342 at the same time.

The token moved between $0.363 and $0.337 over the past day, so it sits less than 1% above its 24-hour low. On Binance’s JTO/USDT pair, a short climb to $0.352 at 8 a.m. ET faded within two hours.

CoinGecko puts the seven-day change at -20.4%, and CoinPaprika shows -21.3%. $JTO’s market value stands near $184 million, with $17.8 million traded in 24 hours. The token sits 94% below its record high of $6.01 from December 2023.

Why it moved

The cause is not confirmed. No Jito Foundation announcement in the past day explains the slide.

The move is much steeper than the wider market. Solana ($SOL) slipped 1.0% in 24 hours to $93.14, per CoinGecko. Bitcoin ($BTC) eased 0.5% and Ether ($ETH) rose 0.2%, according to LiveCoinWatch.

Deposits in Jito’s staking pool are lower too. DefiLlama shows $959 million in Jito Liquid Staking, down 8.0% in seven days. Part of that tracks the 6.7% weekly drop in $SOL, the asset the pool holds.

Who’s buying and selling

On-chain traders leaned slightly toward buying. The largest $JTO pool, the JTO/JitoSOL pair on Orca DEX, logged 395 buys and 338 sells in 24 hours, per DexScreener. GeckoTerminal shows the same count and about $909,000 in pool liquidity.

Buy counts show how many trades took place, not how much money moved. That pool traded about $100,000 in a day, small next to the $17.8 million across all markets.

What to watch next

The first marker is the 24-hour low of $0.337. The next is the record low of $0.218 from Feb. 5, 2026, per CoinGecko. A statement from the Jito Foundation would be the first clear sign of a cause.

Bottom line: Jito’s token has lost a fifth of its value in a week with no announced cause, while the wider market barely moved.

Price data: CoinGecko, cross-checked with Jupiter.
