Pump.fun’s $PUMP rose 4.6% to $0.004234 in the 24 hours to 1:41 p.m. ET Saturday, with buys ahead of sells in its two top pools.
Pump.fun token buyers had the upper hand on Saturday. Pump.fun ($PUMP) traded at $0.004234 at 17:41 UTC (1:41 p.m. ET), up 4.6% in 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. Jupiter’s price of $0.004230 agreed within 0.1%.
The quick take
- Price: $PUMP at $0.004234, +4.6% ↑ in 24 hours and +1.6% ↑ in seven days (CoinGecko).
- Trigger: buys outnumbered sells in the token’s two top pools, by 26% on PumpSwap and by 22% on Orca.
- Watch: whether PumpSwap keeps its lead in DefiLlama’s ranking of Solana exchanges.
What happened
$PUMP climbed for most of the day. On Binance’s PUMP/USDT pair, the lowest hourly close in the window was $0.003949 at 19:00 UTC Friday (3 p.m. ET). The latest reading there was $0.004235.
The token now has a market value of $1.95 billion, CoinGecko data show. Its total trading volume over 24 hours was $106.0 million.
The weekly picture is flatter. $PUMP is up 1.6% over seven days, CoinGecko data show. Without Saturday’s gain, the week would show a loss.
Data services do not all agree on the size of the day’s move. CoinPaprika showed a 6.8% gain over 24 hours, above CoinGecko’s 4.6%. Each service measures the day from its own starting point.
The gain came on a calm day for the largest coins. Bitcoin ($BTC) rose 0.5% and Ether ($ETH) rose 0.6% over 24 hours, according to LiveCoinWatch.
Who’s buying and selling
The biggest $PUMP pool by deposits is PUMP/USDC on PumpSwap, Pump.fun’s own exchange. It holds $23.1 million. It logged 10,013 buys against 7,971 sells in 24 hours, GeckoTerminal data show. About $2.97 million changed hands there over the same period.
The top $PUMP pool listed by DexScreener, PUMP/SOL on Orca DEX, showed the same tilt. It saw 27,421 buys and 22,411 sells over the same stretch, with $2.39 million in the pool.
These counts are trades, not wallets. One large seller can offset many small buyers. So the tally shows the mood of the crowd more than the size of the money.
Why it moved
The cause of the rise is not confirmed. We found no Pump.fun announcement in the window that explains it.
Activity on PumpSwap did pick up. Its trading volume reached $221.7 million in DefiLlama’s latest 24-hour reading, up 87% from $118.7 million in the reading before. That put it first among Solana ($SOL) exchanges on DefiLlama’s list, ahead of BisonFi at $182.9 million and Orca DEX at $179.0 million.
PumpSwap’s figure equals about 10.5% of all Solana DEX trading in that reading. Pump.fun’s launchpad, which DefiLlama lists apart from PumpSwap, handled another $113.6 million. Over seven days, though, PumpSwap ranked third, with $1.26 billion behind Orca DEX and BisonFi.
Trackers measure PumpSwap in different ways. CoinGecko’s exchange page shows about 348 BTC of 24-hour volume across the pairs it follows. That is far below DefiLlama’s figure, so the size of the jump depends on the source.
The wider Solana market cooled at the same time. Total Solana DEX volume fell 7.8% to $2.12 billion, per DefiLlama.
What to watch next
Fees are one test of how lasting the activity is. Pump.fun’s revenue was $1.10 million in DefiLlama’s latest 24-hour reading, down 6.9% from $1.18 million before. Over seven days it came to $8.38 million.
Deposits are another test. PumpSwap held $323.9 million, 3.8% less than a week earlier, DefiLlama data show.
The next readings will show whether PumpSwap keeps the top spot. They will also show whether buyers stay ahead in the main $PUMP pools.
Bottom line: $PUMP gained 4.6% as buys led its two top pools, but the cause is not confirmed and fee income dipped.
