The quick take

  • Price: $0.00491, down 7.4% in 24 hours and 19% over seven days (CoinGecko, 11:39 a.m. ET).
  • Trigger: No Pump.fun announcement explains the drop; several Solana DeFi tokens fell on the same day.
  • Watch: Whether steady buy trades and daily buybacks can slow the weekly slide.

What happened

The Pump.fun token weekly loss reached 19% on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Pump.fun ($PUMP) traded at $0.00491 at 11:39 a.m. ET, down 7.4% in 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. Jupiter’s price of $0.00492 matched it within 0.2%.

The token moved between $0.00479 and $0.00533 over the past day. It is still up 33% over 30 days, but it sits 44% below its record of $0.00882 from Sept. 14, 2025. Its market value is about $2.28 billion, with $213 million traded in 24 hours.

Why it moved

We found no Pump.fun announcement in the past day that explains the drop, so the cause is not confirmed. The fall came as other Solana DeFi tokens slid too. Raydium ($RAY) lost 8.5%, Orca DEX ($ORCA) 6.1% and Jupiter Exchange ($JUP) 5.6%, per CoinGecko.

Solana ($SOL) slipped 1.8% and is down 11.1% for the week. Bitcoin ($BTC) rose 0.7% over the past day, according to LiveCoinWatch.

Who’s buying and selling

Buy trades still outnumber sells in the token’s main pools. On Orca’s $PUMP/SOL pool, DexScreener counted 22,467 buys and 19,586 sells in 24 hours, with $2.2 million in liquidity. GeckoTerminal showed 8,819 buys and 8,053 sells on PumpSwap’s $PUMP/USDC pool, which holds $24.6 million.

Pump.fun’s own trading venue stays busy. DefiLlama’s latest 24-hour reading puts PumpSwap volume at $412 million, the top figure in its Solana DEX list. Pump.fun revenue reached $1.57 million over the same window.

The project’s token page lists 204.5 million $PUMP bought back and burned on Oct. 12, worth about $1.14 million. The page notes that its fee dashboard may not show exact amounts.

What to watch next

Watch the day’s range of $0.00479 to $0.00533 and whether buybacks keep pace with selling. The wider pullback in Solana tokens this week remains the backdrop for $PUMP.

Bottom line: $PUMP stretched its weekly slide to 19% on Tuesday, even as buy trades and PumpSwap volume held up.
