The Backpack Exchange token recovers 6.3% over 24 hours to $1.19, according to CoinGecko data at 5:40 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 11. Early Sunday, Backpack Exchange ($BP) showed an 8.9% daily drop to $1.12, as we reported.
What happened
Jupiter’s price feed put $BP at $1.189, up 6.5%, within 0.10% of CoinGecko. CoinPaprika showed a smaller 5.1% gain.
CoinGecko puts the 24-hour range at $1.096 to $1.19, so the token ends the day near its high. $BP is still down 3.9% over seven days but up 114% over 30 days. It sits about 28% below its record of $1.65, set on Oct. 1.
Why it moved
Backpack’s blog shows no new post since Oct. 7, when it added tokenized Ferrari shares. With no Backpack news in the past day, the cause of the rebound is not confirmed.
The gain outpaced larger coins. Solana ($SOL) rose 0.3%, per CoinGecko. Bitcoin ($BTC) gained 0.5% and Ether ($ETH) 0.6%, per LiveCoinWatch at 21:41 UTC.
Assets held on the exchange also edged up. DefiLlama’s Backpack tracker showed $594.4 million at 20:31 UTC, up from $586.3 million at the start of the day. That figure moves with token prices as well as with deposits and withdrawals.
Who’s buying and selling
$BP had a market value of $296.4 million and $5.4 million in 24-hour trading volume, per CoinGecko. Its largest on-chain pool, BP/USDC on Meteora, holds $6.7 million in liquidity.
That pool logged 1,456 buys and 901 sells over 24 hours, per DexScreener; GeckoTerminal counted 1,462 buys and 902 sells. Trade counts do not show trade size. This time, though, more buy trades came with a rising price.
