What happened

$PUMP traded between a 24-hour low of $0.00517 and a high of $0.00618, per CoinGecko. Hourly closes on Binance’s PUMP/USDT pair peaked at $0.006068 in the 10 a.m. ET hour. From there the price slid about 11% to $0.005396 by 7:41 p.m. ET.

The sharpest step came in a single hour of the U.S. afternoon. One hourly close on that pair fell from $0.005799 to $0.005356, a drop of 7.6%.

The token is still up on the week. CoinGecko puts the 7-day gain at 33% and CoinPaprika at 30%. Over 30 days it is up 34%, and it trades 39% below its record high of $0.00882 from Sept. 14, 2025, per CoinGecko.

Why it moved

The cause of the drop is not confirmed. No Pump.fun announcement in the past day explains it. The wider market stayed calm: Bitcoin ($BTC) slipped 0.4% and Ether ($ETH) 1.5% in 24 hours, per LiveCoinWatch.

Solana ($SOL) was flat, up 0.1% on CoinGecko. That suggests the selling was specific to $PUMP rather than part of a broad market drop.

Who’s buying and selling

On the largest $PUMP pool, PumpSwap’s PUMP/USDC pair, sellers led over 24 hours. DexScreener counted 11,399 sells against 10,794 buys. GeckoTerminal shows a similar split, 11,316 sells against 10,792 buys.

That pool holds about $26.6 million in liquidity. Across all markets, CoinGecko reports $582 million in 24-hour trading volume and a market value of $2.5 billion.

What to watch next

The business behind the token keeps earning. Pump.fun took in $1.75 million in revenue over 24 hours and $11.2 million over seven days, according to DefiLlama. Its PumpSwap exchange holds $397 million in deposits, up 1.2% in a day.

Watch whether sellers keep the lead on PumpSwap and whether $PUMP holds above its 24-hour low of $0.00517.

Bottom line: Pump.fun’s token gave back its daily gain in one afternoon, but its weekly climb is still intact.
